The Jindal Group of Companies sought to identify and recognise the most deserving students from Grade-A colleges through its scholarship programme. The organisation aimed to establish a structured and comprehensive selection process to evaluate students and identify individuals demonstrating strong potential for future professional growth.

To address this challenge, People Metrics supported a multi-stage assessment process beginning with student nominations, followed by the Thomas Personal Profile Analysis (PPA) and the Jindal Awareness Test. This approach provided a structured framework for evaluating shortlisted candidates and supporting informed scholarship selection decisions.

As part of the selection process, shortlisted students were required to develop business proposals and participate in panel interviews. The interview panel included representatives from Jindal, an industry expert, and a Thomas behavioural expert, enabling a comprehensive evaluation of candidates through multiple assessment methods.

The assessment process was designed to identify the top three students from each department and each academic year at participating colleges. Students were evaluated through the structured selection stages, with the selected candidates receiving scholarships under the programme.

This case study highlights how a comprehensive assessment approach, combining behavioural profiling, knowledge assessments, business proposals, and expert panel interviews, can support the identification of deserving students and strengthen scholarship selection processes.
